“In the beginning,” the hieroglyphics writings carved upon the granite stone said, “there was no light. From the maelstrom storm of creation came light but the light was not good light. Then from the burning fire pits of lava and Earth making volcanoes came HYVAH, who was EVE and the demon temptress LILITH. Hyvah made the light good light and from the light of Hyvah came all light. Then from the darkness of the heavens came GABRIEL, who from the clays of white-hot dirt made A’ADAM who was ADAMAH who was ADAM. In the goodness of Hyvah’s light, Gabriel saw Hyvah’s garden world, Gabriel desired Hyvah’s world to be his world…”

HYVAH reimagines the genetic history of humankind through six individual storylines intrinsically linked through two principle characters – the archangel Gabriel and his feminine protagonist Hyvah – Hyvah being the imagined prehistoric name of biblical Eve, Jewish/Mesopotamian Lilith and Islamic’s Hawwāh. Each of these symbolic Abrahamic notables are combined into one immortal character who predates both established palaeontology and contemporary religious history.
Hyvah first emerges when Earth is created through geological-planetary evolution over four-billion years ago. Each storyline narrative proceeds to introduce one heroic male character standing alongside descendant Hyvah bloodline personas who wield unearthly mystical abilities to strike against the violence and domination of men. The six separate narratives build the cornerstone that Hyvah is the genetic link to the prehistoric evolution of the human race, that Earth is Hyvah’s geological garden-world stolen by Adam then falsely claimed as the fabled Garden of Eden by Abrahamic prophets, historical prophets who themselves transcend into the tribes of Israel.
Though Hyvah is a fictional character, her scintillating existence becomes genetically linked to humanity’s beginning – posing the question of what if the male of our species was created through the congenital female gene. And what if Hyvah’s bloodline kin reclaim Hyvah’s world? What if the conquering female gender of our race evolves into the dominant human species? And what if humankind’s omnipotent creator was indeed a feminine entity…?
HYVAH is available in both ebook and paperback formats.
